Our Story
Seedsowers Montessori began as a dream long before it became a reality. After becoming a credentialed American Montessori Society (AMS) teacher in 1995, my husband and I spent a year serving as Christian missionaries, teaching English through the Bible in Tbilisi, Georgia. When we returned to California in 1997, I continued teaching while dreaming of starting my own program—one that would combine my love for Jesus with my Montessori training.
That dream truly took root when my son reached preschool age— In 2002, we launched Seedsowers Montessori, a place where children grow in knowledge, independence, and love for God and others.
Since then, we have been blessed to welcome over a thousand students through our doors. Over the years, we’ve grown—adding new elements to our classrooms and reimagining our playground—while staying true to the traditional Montessori environment and core materials. Through all the changes, one thing remains constant—our commitment to faith, learning, and community.
Seedsowers continues to grow, welcoming new families each year into our adventure of faith and academics. We are so grateful for the journey and for every child and family who has been a part of it.

Creative
Seedsowers Montessori thrives on creativity! Crafting environments rich in inspiration and thoughtful design that captivate children’s minds and hearts. Our Christian Montessori preschool in Temecula nurtures creativity by continually refining our approach, presentations, and services. All of this is designed to draw children into engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Through imagination, exploration, and discovery, children build confidence, joy, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
Interactive
At Seedsowers Montessori, interactive learning is central to our educational philosophy, creating a vibrant, engaging environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged. Temecula offers an amazing community which helps foster deep connections between teachers and students. At Seedsowers we promote collaboration through individualized lessons, group projects, and peer interaction. This approach nurtures social, emotional, and academic growth, empowering children to explore their world with curiosity, confidence, and purpose.
Faith-Based
Seedsowers Montessori is rooted in faith, acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and the Bible as the unchanging authority guiding all truth and practice. Our Christian Montessori preschool weaves biblical principles throughout each day. We integrate a Biblical Concept and Story each month. This Christ-centered approach cultivates kindness, compassion, integrity, and a love for God’s Word. Our prayer is that each child’s heart and mind will be nurtured to grow in truth, wisdom, and purpose.
Partnership
At Seedsowers Montessori, we cherish the partnership between school and home, believing that parents play an essential role in their child’s growth and development. Our Temecula based Christian Montessori preschool actively encourages parents to engage through prayer, collaboration, and participation in the life of the school. Together, we foster a consistent, faith-filled environment, empowering children to make wise decisions aligned with the Christian values instilled at home and reinforced through our Montessori approach.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common inquiries about Seedsowers Montessori.
How Does It Work?
In a Montessori classroom, children learn naturally from one another—just like in a family! Each class includes a mix of ages, typically spanning three years, creating a supportive and collaborative environment. Younger children look up to their older peers, while older children reinforce their learning by sharing what they’ve mastered.
Our teachers carefully observe each child, guiding them to new materials and lessons based on their individual needs. The classroom strikes a beautiful balance between self-directed learning and whole-group community, allowing children to grow at their own pace while feeling connected and supported.
What Makes Montessori Different?
The Montessori method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s, based on the idea that every child is unique and learns best in an environment that respects their individuality. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, Montessori classrooms are designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
In a Montessori environment, children learn through hands-on exploration and at their own pace. They are encouraged to repeat activities until they master them (repetition), solve problems on their own (independence), and engage with lessons that spark their passion for learning. Over time, this approach helps children develop into confident, capable, and peaceful individuals who are excited about the world around them.
Montessori isn’t just about academics—it’s about helping children grow into whole, well-rounded individuals who love learning and thrive in a nurturing, respectful environment.
What Does a Day at Seedsowers Look Like?
Our daily schedule provides a balance of structure, independence, and joyful learning in a warm and loving environment.
In the morning session, we begin with circle time, where we greet one another, say the Pledge of Allegiance, and have a daily devotion. After this, children move into an independent work period, choosing activities that spark their curiosity and build new skills. During this time, teachers carefully observe each child, provide one-on-one lessons, and guide small group lessons based on individual needs. Toward the end of the morning, we gather again for circle time, which includes guitar music, gross motor movement, and a story. Before dismissal, we share lunch together, and the last 15 minutes of the session are spent enjoying playtime.
The afternoon session follows a similar rhythm. The children begin with lunch before transitioning into circle time, where they greet one another, say the Pledge of Allegiance, and have a daily devotion. After that, they engage in an independent work period, exploring materials and activities at their own pace. where teachers continue to observe, give one-on-one lessons, and lead small group lessons. As the session comes to a close, they gather once more for circle time, which includes guitar music, movement activities, and a story. The day ends with playtime before heading home.
Each session offers a rich Montessori experience, fostering a love of learning, faith, and community.
Well the mission statement is “To plant the spiritual and educational seeds needed to raise a child for a life time of growth. Building from the Biblical foundation blocks of integrity, service, creativity and our cornerstone Christ Jesus.”
We break it down like this:
“…to plant…” An active intent to prepare the soil of a child’s heart and mind then strategically place the seeds of truth for a life-time of growth. – 1 Corinthians 3:6-8
“…the spiritual and educational seeds needed to raise a child for a life time of growth …” First the spiritual seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, foretold in the Bible. Second, the educational seed developed from the Biblical principles explained by Maria Montessori. – Matthew 13:3-9, Colossians 2:6-7, 2 Timothy 3:15
“…Building from the Biblical foundation blocks…” Laying down a platform from which the child will know that the Bible is the inerrant, authoritative, living Word of God spoken to Men through the Holy Spirit. – Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, `2 Peter 1:20-21
“…of integrity…” Setting the bar of moral uprightness and honesty from the beginning of a child’s education. 2 Tim 2:15, Ecclesiastics 3:12
“…service…” Modeling servant leadership through humility, respect and selflessness. – Mark 9:35, Mark 10:43-45, Luke 9:48, James 4:6
“…creativity…” Continually working to prepare an environment that enables students to learn in the manner which best fits their unique strengths. – Proverbs 29:18
“…and our cornerstone Christ Jesus.” The only begotten Son of God the Father, Almighty maker of heaven and earth who exists in eternity. He is our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit , born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate. He was crucified and died for our sins to pay the cost of righteous judgment. He descended into hell and on the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven where He sits at God’s mighty right hand. He is returning to judge the quick and the dead of the sons of men. – John 1:1
Children are exposed to the following spiritual truths concerning:
SELF: GOD made us and loves us. Each person has value. We can do many things because of the way GOD made us.
OTHERS: Others have value. We can love and help others. GOD wants us to be kind to others. GOD loves everyone.
BIBLE AND PRAYER: We can learn about GOD and talk with Him. The Bible tells about GOD and shows us how to live. GOD hears us always, anytime.
GOD: GOD the Father. He is the Father of Jesus. He made the world and everything in it. He loves everyone and is unchanging.
JESUS: GOD the Son. He was born a baby who grew to become a man. He came to earth to die for our sins. Jesus is our Lord, and our Savior. He will return one day.
HOLY SPIRIT: GOD the Spirit. The Holy Spirit authored the Bible. He guides us into all truth. He is always with us.
